Discovery

Your spreadsheet becomes your dashboard.

Most agencies already have their site inventory in a spreadsheet. BlockForge's CSV Import lets you upload that spreadsheet directly — mapping columns to fields, validating data, and creating all sites in one batch. No manual re-entry. No copy-paste errors. Your existing documentation becomes your management dashboard.

The Challenge

Your data already exists. Why type it again?

Data Re-Entry

You already have your site list — why type everything again? Your project management tool, your client database, your operations spreadsheet — they all contain the same site information. But every new tool demands manual re-entry, forcing your team to copy data between systems and inevitably introducing inconsistencies along the way.

Format Confusion

Different tools want different formats — CSV, TSV, JSON — each with its own requirements. Some expect headers, some don't. Some use semicolons as delimiters, some use commas. Some require UTF-8, others choke on special characters. Before you even start importing, you're debugging file encoding and delimiter mismatches instead of managing WordPress sites.

Mapping Complexity

Your spreadsheet has columns named "Website" — BlockForge expects "URL" — who translates? Column names vary across teams, languages, and tools. "Site Name" vs "Domain" vs "Website" vs "URL" — they all mean the same thing, but rigid import tools reject anything that doesn't match their expected headers exactly. You end up manually renaming columns before every import.

How It Works

Upload. Map. Import. Done.

Intelligent column mapping with validation preview

Upload your CSV file and BlockForge analyzes it instantly. Column headers are auto-detected and mapped to BlockForge fields — "Website" maps to "URL", "Kunde" maps to "Client", "Domain" maps to "Site Name". Review the mapping, adjust where needed, and preview the data before importing. Validation runs on every row: malformed URLs are flagged, duplicate entries are highlighted, and missing required fields are called out. You see exactly what will be imported and what needs attention — before a single site is created.

Capabilities

Everything you need to turn spreadsheets into managed WordPress sites.

Template Download

Download a pre-formatted CSV template with all available fields and example data. Start from a known-good format instead of guessing which columns BlockForge expects. The template includes field descriptions, data type hints, and example values for every supported field — from URL and client name to custom notes and tags.

Column Mapping

Flexible drag-and-drop column mapping that adapts to your spreadsheet structure. Your columns don't need to match BlockForge field names — map "Website" to "URL", "Kunde" to "Client", or any other combination. The mapping interface shows a live preview of how your data will be interpreted, so you can verify correctness before importing.

Validation Preview

See every validation issue before a single site is created. Malformed URLs, duplicate entries, missing required fields, and data type mismatches are all flagged in a clear preview. Fix issues in your spreadsheet and re-upload, or correct individual values inline. No surprises during import — you know exactly what will happen.

Bulk Creation

Once mapping and validation are complete, all sites are created in a single batch operation. Each site is set up with the metadata from your CSV — client assignment, site name, URL, notes, and tags. The process runs in the background, so you can continue working while BlockForge processes your import queue.

Client Assignment

If your CSV includes client information, BlockForge automatically assigns each site to the matching client during import. New clients can be created on the fly or mapped to existing ones. This means your site-client relationships are established from the start — no manual assignment after the fact.

Auto-Detection

BlockForge analyzes your CSV headers and automatically suggests column mappings. Common variations are recognized: "Website", "Domain", "URL", "Site", and "Webseite" all map to the URL field. "Client", "Customer", "Kunde", and "Auftraggeber" all map to Client. The smarter the auto-detection, the fewer manual adjustments you need.
